About Hito Matcha
Hito Matcha is a matcha brand from the Netherlands. We work with Japanese matcha of the highest quality and make two things with it: pure matcha powder, and 7 Shades of Matcha, matcha chocolate in seven strengths.
Our matcha
Our matcha comes from Japan. The tea bushes grow in the shade for the last weeks before harvest, which gives the leaves their deep green colour and a rich, smooth taste. The leaves are steamed, dried and ground into a fine powder. We choose our matcha for its bright colour, fresh aroma and smooth taste.
Seven shades of one idea
Matcha changes character with every gram. That idea became 7 Shades of Matcha: seven strengths of matcha chocolate in one box, from mild to 25% matcha, so you can taste the difference for yourself.
The name
Hito (人) is the Japanese word for person. Matcha is made by people, one bowl at a time, and is best shared. That is the thought behind our name.
